    Market Hours: 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm  ***(Exceptions may occur due to weather)

    The Oakland Springs Market will be on the first Friday of each month June through August of 2024, followed by the seasonal themed markets for the remainder of the year. The market takes place in the commercial district of The Village at Oakland Springs surrounded by apartments, restaurants, shops, businesses and the community residents that reside there. 

    Attendance:

    Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to make the market. A full market is good for your sales and the market as a whole. The more notification you give us the better, even if it is on the day of the market. 

    *** Vendors will not be allowed to return to future markets if you are a no show. No vendor can leave before the market closes unless permission has been given by Oakland Springs Market staff.

    Set-up Considerations:

    Vendor & pedestrian safety if of great importance. Being prompt facilitates a smooth set-up. Parking is only allowed for unloading during your setup.  You must move your vehicle before the market starts. We would like to leave those spots  on Oakland Springs Street for those shopping at the market and visiting other establishments surrounding Oakland Springs. We are requesting that vendors park in the large parking lot on the left as you arrive into the village entrance.  After the market, center vendors must take down completely, then pull their car up to load. Vendors need to be physically able to setup and take down their own spaces.

    Assigned Spots:

    The Oakland Springs Market staff aims to arrange vendors to make the market as successful as possible. Vendors must provide their own 10x10 tent with anchored and/or weighted poles. The spot must be clean and free from all trash before leaving. Vendors may not allow other businesses to use their space.  

    Inclement Weather:

    The Oakland Springs Market staff can cancel or end the market at any point the weather conditions make it necessary. Vendors will be notified as soon as a decision is made.

    Electricity:

    Power receptacles are available upon request.

  • Indemnification:

    The participant acknowledges full responsibility for all activities conducted in connection with the Oakland Springs Market and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless The Village at Oakland Springs & Oakland Springs Market Inc. and each of their respective employees, agents, officers, investors, owners, directors and representatives (collectively, “Representatives”) from and against any and all liability, loss, damage, expense, suits, claims, penalties or judgments arising in connection with the participant’s participation in the Oakland Springs Market. Participant acknowledges that his/her responsibilities include all costs and expenses incurred by The Village at Oakland Springs & Oakland Springs Market Inc. representatives in defending claims which may be brought against any of them.

    Participants are liable for their own products. The Village at Oakland Springs, Oakland Springs Market Inc. representatives shall not be held accountable for the products offered by participants. Product and liability insurance is the responsibility of the participants. Participants assume all risk of loss due to fire, theft, weather or other causes of damage or loss. Participants agree to fully indemnify and hold The Village at Oakland Springs, Oakland Springs Market, Inc. representatives harmless from any claims of property damage or bodily injury caused by any member of the public due to the acts or omissions of the participant. There are no other agreements between The Village at Oakland Springs & Oakland Springs Market, Inc. representatives or the participants, whether written or oral, other than the Rules and Guidelines and Vendor Registration application for the Oakland Springs Market.

    I have carefully read each page of Oakland Springs Market, Inc. Rules and Guidelines. I understand the commitment and will abide by the Rules and Guidelines set forth by Oakland Springs Market, Inc. & The Village at Oakland Springs.

    I {businessOwner} referred to as the “Market Vendor” agrees and undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless Oakland Springs Market, Inc. & The Village at Oakland Springs and their agents, servants, and employees from and against any and all claims, damages, actions, liability and expenses in connection with loss of life, personal injury and/or damage to property occasioned wholly or in part by any act or omission of Contractor, its agents, contractors or employees.

    Market Vendor also acknowledges that Oakland Springs Market, Inc. & Village at Oakland Springs, do not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any property of Market Vendor used by or brought on The Village of  Oakland Springs premises and that Market Vendor will take whatever steps it deems necessary to protect the same.
