  • Are any installed tires different sizes?*
  • Are any tires worn below 4/32 inch?*
  • Any leaks/defects with shock absorbers?*
  • Any looseness with tie rod & suspension mounts?*
  • Do the brake pads or rotors need replacement?*
  • Is there heavy underbody rust observed to warrant structural concern?*
  • Any leaks observed on the engine bottom?*
  • Any leaks on the transmission/differential?*
  • Is there any bent/dented metal underneath?*
  • Any brake caliper/drum fluid seepage?*
  • Is there any coolant wetness at bottom of radiator?*

  • Safety/Extras

  • Is the spare tire & jack missing?*
  • Any signs of leakage around the sunroof/moonroof?*
  • Any blown speakers or defects with radio interface?*

  • Driving Test

  • Does the transmission slip or have trouble shifting into any gear?*
  • Do the brakes feel soft/spongy/pulsating or make the vehicle pull at all when applied? Any noises?*
  • Is the steering wheel straight while driving straight?*
  • Any abnormal noises while driving on a smooth surface? (humming, grinding, shaking)*
  • Any binding or looseness with the steering system?*
  • Does the steering seem to "wander"?*
  • Does AWD, 4HI/4LO have trouble engaging or make any excessive noises?*
  • Are there any noises with the suspension system?*
