  • As a Conservative investor you:

    • have an investment period of 0-2 years,
    • accept lower returns over time,
    • wish to minimise the ups and downs in investment value along the way,
    • seek protection against long-term losses,
    • may need a regular income from your investment (e.g. retired),
    • may soon withdraw the bulk of your funds

    OR ... are close to purchasing your first home.

  • As a Moderate investor you:

    • have an investment period of at least 3 years (for the bulk of your funds),
    • are prepared to accept lower returns over time,
    • understand markets move up and down but want to minimise this,
    • may need a regular income from your investment (e.g. retired).
  • As a Balanced investor you:

    • have an investment period of at least 5 years (for the bulk of your funds),
    • aim to achieve returns above term deposit rates over time,
    • can tolerate some ups and downs in investment value along the way,
    • may make minimal or irregular withdrawals from your investment.
  • As a Growth investor you:

    • have an investment period of at least 8 years,
    • aim to achieve strong potential returns over time,
    • will accept significant ups and downs in the investment value along the way,
    • have a long-term focus,
    • don’t plan any withdrawals in the years ahead,
    • accept that negative annual returns will occur and are comfortable to remain invested through these periods.
  • As an Aggressive investor you:

    • have an investment period of at least 10 years,
    • aim to achieve high returns over time,
    • will accept extreme ups and downs,
    • have a very long-term focus,
    • don’t plan any withdrawals in the years ahead,
    • accept that negative annual returns will occur and are comfortable to remain invested through these periods.

  • What Milestone will receive

    Our fee
  • If you move your KiwiSaver to Milford KiwiSaver Plan, Milestone will be appointed as your ongoing financial adviser. Milestone will receive the following payments (deducted from your Milford KiwiSaver account):

    Initial advice fee  Annual ongoing advice and administration fee 
    $150.00 0.25%
    1. The ongoing advice and administration fee is calculated and deducted monthly (based on your account value).
    2. In recognition of the ongoing advice and administration services Milestone provide, Milford will pay you a rebate of 0.2% p.a. (paid monthly) for all funds other than the cash fund. The cash fund rebate is 0.05% p.a.
    3. The ongoing advice and administration fee is generally fully tax deductible.
    4. Should you no longer wish to receive ongoing advice from Milestone, you must inform Milford.  The rebate, and ongoing advice and administration fee, will be stopped.

  • If you move your KiwiSaver to Booster KiwiSaver Scheme, Milestone will be appointed as your ongoing financial adviser. Milestone will receive the following payments:

    Booster Marketing Rebate Ongoing Adviser Commission
    $30.00 0.5%
    1. The ongoing commission is calculated and paid monthly based on the average value of your KiwiSaver account.  It is paid from the fee Booster charge you (it is not an additional fee).
    2. The Booster marketing rebate is paid by Booster to your adviser after your account has been open for 12 months.
